A gift horse puts an unwelcome end to a dream of actually shopping for that horse. Is there a lesson here?

Some gifts come at a price! In the story that inspired this episode, the author is given the perfect horse at the perfect time by kind friends. Neat, huh? The problem is, this “disruptive generosity” snatches away her lifelong dream of shopping for that perfect horse.
