Case Report: Saving Sunny photos
When a pasture accident leaves a gelding with a massive facial wound, a family works together to help him heal.

In the October 2015 issue of EQUUS Magazine, the Case Report, “Saving Sunny,” told the story of a gelding who suffered a massive facial wound from an accident in his pasture. Sunny’s face is now fully healed and he shows no lasting signs of damage aside from a scar at the injury site.
As a supplement to that article, this photo series, supplied by his owner, depicts his injury at intervals from beginning to end.
