These everyday household items can make barn chores easier without busting your budget.

Useful barn supplies don’t always have big price tags. On your next to trip your local Dollar Store or discount retailer, keep an eye out for everyday household items that can be put to good use at the barn. Start with our list, then see what else you can find!

  1. A long-handled toilet scrub brush for cleaning water buckets and troughs
  2. A slotted litter scoop for removing debris from water troughs
  3. An extra-large mesh laundry (utility) bag for toting dirty saddle pads, towels or wraps to the laundromat
  4. A short-bristled broom for sweeping out your feed room, tack room or trailer.
  5. A pack of bungee cords for a variety of uses
