‘Barn Stories’ Ep. 67: Standing firm

In this episode, we discover the difference between a good trail horse and a great one.

A good trail horse will respond promptly to your cues. But what if your trusty partner balks when asked to go in a certain direction? Would you insist that he obey, reasoning that he’s either misunderstood your request or is being obstinate? Or would you stop and consider that maybe his instincts are better, in this instance, than yours?

As we learn in this episode of “Barn Stories,” a great trail horse knows when to stop for a moment–if circumstances warrant it–and ask whether you really mean it. Because, after all, trust works both ways!
