PennState Extension offers webinar on refeeding underweight horses

Experts discuss safe, stepwise strategies in this free, live event

The PennState Extension invites horsekeepers, veterinarians and equine nutritionists to a live webinar called Stepwise Refeeding: Nutrition Plans for Starved Horses” on October 8, 2025. The goal: to learn the essential steps and considerations for safe and effective refeeding of starved or otherwise underweight horses. Included will be discussions of body condition scoring and stepwise nutrition planning.

Hosted by extension equine educators, the webinar is being offered at no charge to participants. However, space is limited, so registration is required.

Whether you’re a horse owner, equine professional, or simply interested in equine health, this session will provide practical guidance on developing nutrition plans that support recovery and avoid complications.
