PRIMEDIA Sweeps 2006 USEF Media Awards

January 18, 2007 -- PRIMEDIA Equine Network received four Pegasus trophies for outstanding achievement in media in 2006 at the USEF Pegasus Awards for Media in Louisville, Ky.

January 18, 2007 — The PRIMEDIA Equine Network was the year’s big winner across multiple categories January 11 at the Seelbach Hotel in Louisville, Ky. Described by the U.S. Equestrian Federation (USEF) as “one of the country’s leading providers of news and publishing in the equestrian world,” PRIMEDIA picked up four bronze Pegasus trophies for outstanding achievement in media in 2006 at the USEF Pegasus Awards for Media.

Among the honors awarded by USEF President David O’Connor and accepted by editorial director Cathy Laws on behalf of PRIMEDIA, was the prestigious Daniel P. Lenehan Memorial Trophy for Overall Excellence, awarded to PRIMEDIA’s equine website, EquiSearch.com. EquiSearch.com also was named Best Website for the fourth consecutive year.

Dressage Today and EQUUS magazines also were winners by the end of the ceremony. EQUUS defended its title when it was presented the Publication of the Year Award for the second consecutive year, while Dressage Today was honored for being the Best Specialized Publication of the Year.

“It is always rewarding to see our work recognized, but particularly when it is awarded by our industry’s leading organization. I’m very proud of the editors, writers and art directors in our group,” said Susan Harding, vice president and group publishing director for the PRIMEDIA Equine Network.
