PRIMEDIA Equine Acquires Assets of Equistar

Dec. 8, 2005 -- PRIMEDIA Equine Network has acquired the assets of Equistar Publications, a publisher of equine anatomy references for horse owners, professionals and enthusiasts.

Dec. 8, 2005 — PRIMEDIA Equine Network, publisher of award-winning equine titles, is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of the assets of Equistar Publications, Ltd., a prestigious publisher of equine anatomy references for horse owners, trainers, farriers and veterinarians.

Founded in 1995, Equistar Publications published its first book, Illustrated Atlas of Clinical Equine Anatomy and Common Disorders of the Horse, Volume One, in 1996. Since then, Equistar has been the industry leader in equine anatomy books and wall charts. The company consistently produces references of the highest quality that can be used for client education for the professional as well as a resource for the horse owner, trainer, competitor and enthusiast.
