Beginning with Barbaro…

There is no doubt that this blog was inspired by my reportage on the surgery and aftercare of injured Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro. From May 2006 on, I have been following his condition via web connections. It occurred to me that others might like to read what I am finding, and I found an eager audience. I also found that people were interested in other casese, and other projects, at vet schools and research centers around the world. And EquiSearch.com was curious, too; before long, the idea for this blog was born.

I will continue to publish links to the latest news on Barbaro in this space, along with any other information relevant to his case.

Click this link for the November 28th report on Barbaro’s condition.
