David O’Connor, Jonathan Field and EQUUS: Conversations and a Clinic!

July 21, 2014–Wouldn’t it be great if you could discuss any number of horse-related topics with two of the finest horsemen in the world?

You can now, thanks to EQUUS Magazine. In its August issue, EQUUS debuts its new “Conversations” column featuring Olympic gold medalist and current chef d’equipe for the U.S. Eventing Team David O’Connor and renowned trainer and clinician Jonathan Field.

Combining equal measures of equestrian philosophy, practical training tips and observations about the broader horse world, the new column will offer something for everyone.

EQUUS readers are invited to share their questions or observations about training, behavior, competition or practically any other aspect of life with horses for consideration by David and Jonathan. “We are very proud to present this opportunity to our readers,” said EQUUS editor Laurie Prinz. “David and Jonathan are accomplished horsemen and we look forward fostering a dialogue between them and our audience.”

To take part in that dialogue, send comments to [email protected] and be sure to put “Conversations” in the subject line.

To kick off the new “Conversations” column, EQUUS presented a “Win A Day with David O’Connor and Jonathan Field” contest, in partnership with SUCCEEDÒ, Purica, and Horseware Ireland. The winner and nine friends will be able to participate in a personal equestrian clinic, given by O’Connor and Field.

The contest closed on July 15, 2014, with 761 entries. The next phase will consist of the top ten finalists sending in a 5-minute video demonstrating their horsemanship skills. Selected by O’Connor and Field, the best one wins! For contest updates, visit the EQUUS Magazine Facebook page or go to http://EQUUSmagazine.com/WinAClinic.
