December 15, 2009, update — The Kentucky Horse Park is announcing that it will cancel the “Circle of Champions: A John Lyons Symposium” which was slated for January 16-17. The economy and the holidays are the reasons cited for the cancellation.

The “Silk Scarf Affair” reception and gala dinner honoring Kentucky’s First Lady Jane Beshear, with special guest John Lyons, will take place as planned at the park the evening of January 16, hosted by the Center for Women in Racing.
