A new, web-based workforce and career platform built exclusively for the equine industry is scheduled to launch August 1. Developed specifically for horse businesses and equine professionals seeking employment, EquiAssist is intended to address one of the industry’s most pressing challenges: connecting employers with qualified, experienced horse professionals.

“Across every discipline, employers are struggling to find dependable employees,” says company founder and CEO Hannah Padgett. “Trainers, boarding facilities, breeding farms, lesson programs, veterinary practices, equine nonprofits and other horse businesses all face the same challenge—finding knowledgeable people who understand the unique demands of working in the equine industry. At the same time, talented horse professionals often rely on scattered social media posts, word of mouth and general job boards to find career opportunities.
“EquiAssist brings those two groups together through one centralized platform designed exclusively for the horse industry,” she explains.
Addressing employment challenges
Padgett says she has worked with employers, professionals and organizations across multiple industries while remaining connected to the equine community. Throughout these experiences, she recognized that employers struggled to find qualified candidates. She also noticed that talented professionals often had difficulty discovering meaningful career opportunities.
“As both a lifelong horsewoman and the owner of an equine-focused accounting firm, I’ve experienced these hiring challenges firsthand,” Padgett notes. “Owning my own farm has given me a unique perspective on how difficult it has become to recruit qualified help. That experience inspired me to create a platform that serves horse businesses and equine professionals across every breed and discipline.”
