May 28, 2014–The editors of EQUUS and Practical Horseman are pleased to announce Susan Koory of Stafford, Virginia, as the winner of the grand prize for their Normandy Travel Sweepstakes. She is receiving a 10-day trip for two to the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France.
Undoubtedly the biggest equestrian event in the world, the Games will be held from August 23–September 7 and feature the finest athletes from more than 60 nations competing against each other in jumping, dressage, eventing, driving, reining, vaulting, endurance and para-dressage.
Koory’s prize package includes airfare for two on Aer Lingus to Paris, France; three nights in the beautiful town of Rouen in Northern France; seven nights near the competition’s action in Eden Park Hotel in Pont l’Eveque provided by Equestrian Tours, LLC; tickets for the show-jumping championships (September 1–7) and two days of sightseeing to Normandy Beaches and Mont St. Michel, all courtesy of sponsors Straight Arrow, Equestrian International LLC, JT International, Blue Seal, and Aer Lingus.
