Any Trick-or-Treaters who come up my driveway tonight will see a dark house around 7 p.m. I will need to find a way to disguise the glow of the television screen. For just a few moments, I do not want to be disturbed. I want to watch 60 Minutes on CBS, to see how they will handle a special segment about the great racehorse Zenyatta, who is preparing to defend her undefeated race record next Saturday in the Breeders Cup.

In 2008, she won the Ladies Classic against fillies. In 2009, she blasted by the colts, becoming the first filly or mare to ever win the Breeders Cup Classic, the world’s richest horse race.

Can she do it again? We’ll find out next Saturday. And in the meantime, you won’t hear about much else in the racing news!

Here’s a fun new music video released today by the Breeders Cup to promote this year’s races. I’m not sure I get the flag analogy, but it’s fun to watch!

The Breeders Cup will be on ESPN and ABC next Friday and Saturday–all afternoon, both days–with plenty of supporting media all over the Internet, including right here on The Jurga Report. I’ll have my ears up for any and all news related to health and safety issues related to this year’s races and the horses entered. It’s a big news week in the horse world!
