Germany, Great Britain, The Netherlands, USA, Sweden was the order of finish for the team dressage competition today at CHIO Aachen, the World Equestrian Festival in Aachen, Germany.
Individual results: Matthias Rath and Totilas (82.149) won the class, with Great Britain’s Laura Bechtolsheimer (80.596) right behind him, and Germany’s Isabell Werth third (77.830). Surprisingly, World Cup champions Adelinde Cornelissen and Parzival were down the list at fourth (77.34). The USA’s Steffen Peters and Ravel were 5th (77.191) and Spain’s dynamic Fuego de Cardena and Juan Manuel Munoz Diaz were 8th. Also down there: Edward Gal and Sisther de Jeu: Gal competed against his former horse Totilas for the first time since the horse was sold. They ended up in 10th place (71.849).
In other CHIO Aachen news, American driver Chester Weber was first in the driving event “Prize of the Martello Immobilienmanagement GmbH & Co. KG” today. The Netherlands leads the team driving competition.
Germany’s Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum and Shutterfly won the emotional jumping event yesterday over Ludger Beerbaum and American Laura Kraut. Meredith and Shutterfly are competing at Aachen for the tenth year.
