Post University adds new articulation agreement in Equine Studies

Students who complete an Associates Degree at Scottsdale Community College can transfer 67 credits to the university towards a Bachelor of Science degree.

Waterbury, CT (March 22, 2021) – Post University has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale, AZ. The articulation agreement will allow students completing an associate degree to earn their Bachelor of Science in Equine Studies at Post University.

Students can transfer credits towards an equine studies between Scottsdale Community College and Post University.

A total of up to 67 credits from Scottsdale will be applied to their studies at the University.

“I’m excited about welcoming students from Scottsdale’s renowned program into the Post equine family,” said Abigail Nemec, chair of Post University’s Equine Program. “Our program is well-established and gives students a range of opportunities for advanced-level study. Students who earn a Bachelor of Science in Equine Studies will be well-suited to meet the needs of our contemporary equine industry.”

Online students who matriculate to Post through this agreement will receive a 10 percent reduction in tuition. Students studying on our main campus will receive a merit scholarship based on GPA. The University will waive the College Success Seminar (CTC101) if the transfer student has earned their degree within the last five years.

“Post University launched the first online bachelor’s program for Equine Studies in 2019, giving students across the world access to a degree in equine studies,” explained Virginia Folger, an articulation agreement specialist at Post University. “Creating a clear path from an associate degree to a bachelor’s degree provides the next logical step in the continuation of their education.”

The University’s academic calendar offers various enrollment windows throughout the year, with dedicated academic and career advisors on hand to support transfer students in navigating the transition.

With the addition of the Scottsdale Community College, Post University now offers transfer programs with 12 institutions across various states, including Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Georgia and Washington.
