An eco-friendly solution

Called the “SafeTack Reverse 2 Horse Bumper Pull Carbon Trailer” according to the company’s website, it will be constructed of sustainable materials in an eco-friendly process and will feature “innovative safety features exclusive to 3D-print technology.”

Double D Trailers owner Brad Heath says that 3D printing solves a lot of the COVID-related supply chain, cost and labor problems while producing vehicles more quickly and accurately.

The 3D-printed trailers will reportedly be constructed mostly of polycarbonate (PC) with carbon fiber reinforcement. PC has been proven in studies to have high temperature resistance, rendering the material more durable.
